What is grief? How do we handle it or even begin to understand it? Does anyone really have a magic fix?

Questions my family and I were asking ourselves when my beautiful mum passed away suddenly.

Reaching out to Christie was the best thing my family and I could of done at that time. She answered all these questions for us. And the truth is there is no magic fix. Having been through such a big loss herself her knowledge about grief comes from a place of truth, love, understanding and growth.

Each time I see Christie I feel as if I’m walking on air. She helps me see things in a different point of view and has great tools to help work through this hard time as much as possible. She’s a friend that always makes me feel welcome. I will forever be grateful I found Christie and I feel comfortable to see her for as long I need.

I am a private person by nature but after suffering through losing a child, I realised this is something that I couldn’t face alone.

Christie has been an amazing support. She listens with compassion and understanding that we all grieve in our own way and in our own time. She provides a safe place to share and I always feel lighter after our discussions.

I am so very grateful for having Christie’s support and guidance during this difficult time.

I would recommend anyone that has experienced loss to seek support.

You don’t have to do this on your own.

After I lost my best friend, my beautiful mother I went into a pretty dark place

not knowing how to cope with my life without my mum.

I ended up having 6 sessions with Christie.

Christie’s beautiful soul got me through the hard times and find time to reflect on the beautiful things and places

to think of my mum.

Thankyou Christie you are one of a kind xx

I have known and worked with Christie in helping professions for over 15 years. We share some wonderful memories.

Christie has always been committed to others, wanting to make a difference in people’s lives.  After she was thrown one of life’s greatest challenges, experiencing a loss that at times seemed overwhelming, she made the decision to help others heal.

Christie has worked with children, young people and families for many years and is now a qualified Grief and Loss Counsellor, bringing a wealth of experience and a depth of understanding to “Helping Hearts Heal”.

In Christie you will find someone with a remarkable gift of giving.  She will help you come to terms with your pain and unexpected emotions, providing you with a safe haven where you don’t have to be alone. Christie has the courage to care.

Thank YOU Christie, after two sessions my spirit has been lifted considerably and for that I thank you!

A Grieving Mother

My husband and I wish we had never been in the situation where we needed to reach out for grief counselling and being extremely private people it was hard to find adequate resources where we felt our personal business wasn’t going to be the next gossip story in town. However Christie is warm and friendly and provides a safe and caring space for you to deal with grief in your own time. Meeting Christie was like catching up with a friend you have known your whole life and as hard and painful as it was during our storm, we always walked away knowing we could weather it and come out the other side.

Christie helped me to see that my feelings, thoughts and actions were all perfectly ‘normal’ when grieving the loss of my mother. She helped me work through some of my thoughts and feelings that I was bottling up.

She also helped me/ my daughter with ideas on how she could best remember her grandma.

Would recommend Christie to everyone/ anyone especially if experiencing grief.
